Family Arbitration (Domestic Violence) Mandatory Training NEW DATE

The Domestic Violence Program that is required by the Attorney General Regulations for Family Law Arbitrators.

The Domestic Violence Program that is required by the Attorney General Regulations for Family Law Arbitrators has now been rescheduled to Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 8:30 a.m. at the Law Society of Upper Canada ending at 6:30 p.m. on that day in order to fulfill the regulatory requirements.

This will be a new program that will introduce the participants to different aspects of Domestic Violence and the law about Mediation/Arbitration that have not been discussed in previous programs.  Participants will have an opportunity to do some role playing and discuss domestic violence issues, cultural and diversity issues, and complex legal issues that arise in Mediation and Arbitration.

We have a sterling list of speakers and, of course, we have outstanding food and refreshments.   This notice is to simply advise you of the new date and a more detailed notice will come to you in mid-November.  I look forward to seeing you all at the end of January, 2016.
