I have a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from York University and I am a trained mediator and Collaborative Family Law lawyer. My practice incorporates these methods of alternative dispute resolution as well as litigation and traditional negotiations. Fareen practices family and estate law exclusively. She has assisted clients with significant assets, complex property protection needs, multi-jurisdictional holdings and interests in family businesses. Fareen is sensitive to the difficult emotional issues involved in separation and values Collaborative Family Law for the customized resolution that focuses on underlying interests, preserves the dignity of the parties and their ongoing parenting relationship. Fareen is practical in her approach and gives priority to the children's well-being. Fareen has been trained by the foremost Collaborative Law practitioners in Canada. Fareen serves as an Executive on the Ontario Bar Association's Family Law Section and is a Director for Access for Parents and Children in Ontario (APCO).

I am an experienced litigator (over 28 years in practice) who believes that the Collaborative process is the best way to resolve family disputes. It offers the potential for parties to craft their own unique agreement in a safe and respectful environment. In addition to my B.A. and LL.B. I have an LL.M. in ADR and I trained in Negotiation at Harvard and in Mediation at Osgoode Hall. I am currently serving my second term as President of the Peel Law Association and have been a member of the Peel Halton Collaborative Group since 2005. I also serve as a Deputy Judge of the Small Claims Court, an activity that has honed my dispute resolution skills and convinced me that a negotiated settlement is preferable to one imposed by the Court.

As a litigator at all levels of Ontario courts, I witnessed the negative effects of the adversarial system on families. Parents were pitted against each other, with the children often expected to take sides. A collaborative approach is constructive, and considers the needs of everyone in the family unit. I can help you achieve your personal objectives and also build a working relationship with your spouse to help you both co-parent your children in the future.

Sherri has been working with separated couples for over a decade. She has acted in the past as a children’s lawyer and has vast courtroom experience.  Sherri has recently joined the panel of collaborative lawyers as her experience with clients has emphasized the need to remember that the parties going through separation still need to communicate and work as a team on handling the breakdown of the marriage.  Collaborative law allows clients to resolve their conflict while maintaining mutual respect.  This is a win win approach for everyone.

Constance Nielsen received her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar in June 2008.

Constance Nielsen practices exclusively in family law.   Constance is a client-focused lawyer who actively works towards making her client’s experience within the law as positive as possible.   Practicing collaborative family law is one of the ways in which Constance works with clients in order to facilitate a resolution that is based on the client’s needs and goals.

Stephanie Ostreicher received her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar in June 2008.

Stephanie Ostreicher practices exclusively in family law.   Stephanie uses a positive problem-solving approach to assisting her clients and their families in achieving their goals in terms of resolving their family law dispute. Collaborative Family Law is one facet of her practice in this regard, in which Stephanie strives to promote and facilitate a client-based settlement.

I have been practicing in Mississauga for more than 25 years. While my practice was predominately litigation for the first 15 years, in 2000 I took my first training in collaborative family law and realized that litigation ought to be the last resort for resolving conflicts. I am dedicated to assisting families to resolve conflicts in a respectful dignified way within the context of a safe and cooperative environment where the outcome for everyone is win/win.

Victoria has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since 1996.  Despite her success and many years of experience as a litigator and appeal lawyer (including an appeal heard by the Supreme court of Canada), Victoria believes that the best outcomes for families are achieved out of court.  To ensure that the people who come to her can select the dispute resolution option that best suits their needs and the needs of their children, Victoria also offers her services as a collaborative law lawyer, mediator, and arbitrator.
